TLS stands for "Transport Layer Security." It is a protocol that provides privacy and data integrity between two communicating endpoints and is the most widely deployed security protocol used today. When you, as our customer, connect to BankОnWeb or SogeCash NET, the said protocol takes care of providing the security of the connection between your computer and the servers of the Bank. In case the protocols used are outdated, malicious persons may intercept the information exchanged between your browser and the bank’s servers, thereby acquiring financial information such as account balance, statements, transfers information, etc. as well as sensitive information such as passwords, correspondent addresses, IBAN and even personal data. Updating to TLS 1.2 provides an enhanced level of encryption to protect the communication.
