Societe Generale Expressbank - the most active bank primary dealer in 2010

At the ceremony announcing the selected primary dealers of government securities in 2011, which was held on 21.12.2010, the Deputy Minister of Finance Mrs. Pencheva launched the initiative of the Ministry of Finance to recognize annually the most active bank primary dealer for the calendar year.

The bank bought most government securities for its own account and on behalf of its clients in 2010, with share over 20%/312 М BGN on the government securities primary market is Societe Generale Expressbank.

Societe Generale Expressbank is also among the bank authorized dealers for 2011.

Societe Generale Expressbank gives the award for Student of the Year 2010

For the fourth consecutive year the awards for Student of the year 2010 were bestowed under the patronage of Minister of Education and Science. The event was held in "Little City Theatre behind the Channel" in Sofia, and was hosted by the Sofia Mayor Yordanka Fandakova . The ceremony was honoured by the Minister of Education Sergei Ignatov.

Awards fought students from 32 universities in Bulgaria were in competition for the prices. They were divided into categories - "Excellence", "Best foreign student in Bulgaria, “Student contributed to the development of the National Office of Student Councils and “The most famous Bulgarian student in the world."
 

Dimitar Nikolov - Manager “Youth Markets” at Societe Generale Expressbank presented the award for "Student of the Year 2010" in the category "Science, Mathematics and Informatics” to Dimitar Dimitrov Faculty in Mathematics, at the Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski.
This year's prize for Best student in 2010 took Deyan Ivanov Todor form the Higher School of Transport - Sofia, who has developed a project for an electric car. The prototype was tested at the Plovdiv Fair in 2010 and now is circulating in Sofia.

Yesterday, in Panorama Pleven, Societe Generale Expressbank financial experts met more than 100 individuals and representatives of business from the region of Pleven. They have received personalized advice in the fields of: Housing loans, Consumer loans, Payroll services, Liberal professions, SME financing, Public sector financing, Factoring, Leasing


The event finished with a special evening cocktail on which Pavel Minev – one of the most famous Bulgarian violinists in the world, born in Pleven performed selected virtuous pieces

Is entrepreneurship still alive in Bulgaria?
The EMPOWER Award for Outstanding young entrepreneurs gives a positive answer
 
In the presence of the Minister of Economy, Energy and Tourism Mr. Traycho Traykov and other special guests, the Empower United Foundation awarded with First prize and 100 000 BGN Borislav Miloev and his project "OCOZY.COM”"in the Empower Award for Young Entrepreneurial Excellence.

Second place and 60 000 BGN received Kiril Mitov for his project “School of Robotics "Robopartans". The project “Integrated In-Home Care Service” by Nina Dimitrova was awarded 3rd place and received 40 000 BGN.
 
The special Green Award for special care, protection and preservation of the environment went to Daniel Yordanov, whose project “Processing of waste glass for the manufacture of abrasive” received highest points in the category.

17 years of successful career history in Societe Generale Expressbank
 
After 17 successful years as a Branch Manager in Societe Generale Expressbank, Gorna Oriahovitsa, Dimitar Dimitrovis retiring.

Dimitar Dimitrov has made outstanding contribution to the development of Societe Generale Expressbank in Gorna Oriahovitsa since 1999.
On an official cocktail on the 1st of October in Arbanasi, in the presence of many clients, colleagues and the Management of Societe Generale Expressbank was presented the new Branch Manger of Gorna OriahovitsaToshko Toshkov.

Dian Yotov is the Regional Group Branch Manager responsible for the regions of Pleven, Sevlievo, Gorna Oriahovitsa, and Vratsa

Jazz Festival in Varna with the support of SGEB
 

From 30 July to 1 August in the Archaeological Museum in Varna took place the XIX edition of the International Jazz Festival, Varna Summer 2010. For third consecutive year Societe Generale Expressbank was a partner of the oldest forum of the kind in the country.

Throughout three evenings over 1200 admirers enjoyed music from France, Austria, USA, Sweden and Bulgaria. For the first time this year the audience had the opportunity to hear formations from three new for the forum countries: Estonia, Denmark and Brazil.

The 24th edition of the International Ballet Competition, Varna.
 
The 24th edition of the International Ballet Competition, Varna - 19-29 July, 2010
Societe Generale Expressbank supported  for the third time, the oldest in the world International Ballet Competition in Varna.
More than 113 artists from 32 countries participated in the 24 edition (19-29 July 2010) of the cultural event in the Summer Theatre.

The competition is traditionally held in three rounds for men and women, junior and senior age, competition for the Grand Prix of Varna in the amount of Euro 6000 and the title Laureate of the International Ballet Competition, Varna. Competition program includes an obligatory classical repertoire and works by contemporary choreography created over the past decade.

Societe Generale Expressbank was honoured in the category Dynamic Development in the annual ranking of the Association Bank of the Year.
 
Societe Generale Expressbank was honoured in the category Dynamic Development in the annual ranking of the Association Bank of the Year. The awards were presented for the thirteenth time on an official ceremony at Hotel Sheraton Sofia Hotel Balkan in the presence of the President of the Republic of Bulgaria - Mr. Georgi Parvanov and the governor of the BNB- Mr. Ivan Iskrov .
 
Mr. Philippe Lhotte – CEO of Societe Generale Expressbank received the award by Mrs. Sylvia Peneva - one of the founders of the Association Bank of the Year and Managing Partner of Deloitte Bulgaria.
 Societe Generale Expressbank was honoured in the category Dynamic Development in the annual ranking of the Association Bank of the Year.

Societe Generale Expressbank is one of the employers who participate in this year's National EMPOWER internship program for young leaders.
 
National EMPOWER internship program for young leaders
As an organization, which that traditionally supports the development of young people and encourages their development as professionals, Societe Generale Expressbank became one of the top companies in their sectors of the internship program of the Empower United Foundation.
 
The internship program began with two weeks training, which was held at the American University in Bulgaria. The course aimed to develop the students' personal and professional qualities that will contribute to their realization on the labor market and allow their future growth as leaders in their community.

A successful private placement of Varna Municipal bonds for EUR 6 M took place.
 
A successful private placement of Varna Municipal bonds for EUR 6 M took place on 30.06.2010. Societe Generale Expressbank took an active role as co-manager/ primary market placing agent, in the structuring of the bond issue. The bond loan is unsecured, has a 10 year tenor and is carrying floating interest rate of 6M EURIBOR + 4.45%. The total amount of the issue was subscribed from institutional investors. The proceeds from the bond will be used for municipal infrastructural projects, such as street repairs as well other municipal expenses.

Societe Generale Expressbank bestowed the award for Best Bulgarian Paper artist on the AMATERAS Annual Paper Art Exhibition 2010.
 
Societe Generale Expressbank supported the AMATERAS Annual Paper Art Exhibition 2010. During the official inauguration the bank bestowed the award for Best Bulgarian Paper artist.

8th of June, 2010:
Societe Generale Expressbank with the prize for best "Combined financial product" from Banks Investments Money.
 
Prize for best The insurance protection Spokoystvie for overdraft from Societe Generale Expressbank won the prize for most successful "Combined financial product" of the 8th International financial exhibition Banks Investments Money , which started yesterday at the Sheraton Sofia Hotel Balkan. During the gala dinner were bestowed the traditional Awards for Financial Product of the Year.

 

07 of March, 2010:
Holidays in Shiroka Laka, Smolyan were celebrated together with Societe Generale Expressbank.
 
Societe Generale Expressbank was for the first time partner of the traditional one week Pesponedelnik holidays in Shiroka laka. The village is claimed as one of the National monuments and it is the place where the most prestigious folkloric arts school in the country held
 
The Pesponedelnik holidays ended with a sublime show of kukers performers in the heart of Shiroka laka.

In the month of February, a commission of 13 members selected the 4 students that will receive a special scholarship for a creative stay in Cite des Arts.
