What is TrusteerRapport?

 

Trusteer Rapport is a software that protects your online bank account, creating a save tunnel for communication between you and the bank’s website. Thus the program blocks any attempts for financial fraud from your online bank account.

 

Trusteer Rapport detects the process of installment of malware and breaks it. Even if such malware is already installed on your computer, the program blocks all its attempts to interfere when you use your internet browser and your online bank sessions.

  • Prevents financial malware infections when accessing malicious websites or downloading malicious applications.
  • Stops phishing attacks from stealing your credentials and data.

Extra level of protection


Trusteer Rapport is optimized to stop financial malware and prevent financial fraud. But that does not mean you should discard your antivirus solutions entirely. Many other viruses exist. They will slow down your computer or interfere with your work, but they will not attempt to steal money from you. Your antivirus solutions should be used to protect you from these types of viruses.

Where can you download Trusteer Rapport from?


In order to download Trusteer Rapport, you should log in to your online bank account. A special pop-up message would will ask you to download Trusteer Rapport. Once you click the ‘Download Now’ button, the software will download within seconds and work in the background to protect your account.



How you know Trusteer Rapport works?

  • Once installed, a green Trusteer Rapport icon will be displayed near (or in) the browser’s address bar when you are viewing a website that is protected by Trusteer Rapport.

  • If the site you are viewing is protected by Trusteer Rapport, the icon is colored in green. 

  • If the site is unprotected, the icon will be colored in grey.

  • Important information:


    If you don’t manage to log in to your online banking account and instead you see a white screen, this most probably is due to the current protection you have installed on your computer - part of your anti-virus software or firewall.

    In order to install Trusteer Rapport without any problems and to continue using your online banking, please, follow the three steps below.

    1.    Add the following internet addresses to the white list of your firewall.
    •    *.trusteer.com
    •    updates.trusteer.com
    •    download.trusteer.com
    •    download2.trusteer.com
    •    cdn.trusteer.com
    •    s3.amazonaws.com
    •    www.splash-screen.net


    2. Allow documents located in the following folders to be run by your Firewall:
    C:\Program Files\Trusteer\Rapport\bin   
    or   
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Trusteer\Rapport\bin

    3. Allow the following files to be run by your Firewall:
    •    RapportService.exe
    •    RapportMgmtService.exe

    Trusteer Rapport connects with the IBM servers and thus is always updated against new threats. If your access to the program is prevented by your firewall, you would not be protected to a full extend.

    If even after following these three steps, you still experience difficulties logging in your online banking account or you need additional support, please, contact our Client service centre – 0700 33 944.

     

    Using Trusteer Rapport is an addition to the online banking products of Societe Generale Expressbank, but in no case this is not a prerequisite for their usage. Before installing Trusteer Rapport, we advise you to read the program’s characteristics.

     

    Trusteer Rapportis compatible with almost every operational system and anti-virus programs, but in case of incompatibility the bank does not have any responsibility for any direct or indirect damages to our clients caused by this.
